Better Sailing Day - Nanaimo to Tribune Bay

After learning the lesson the day before about weather windows, we catch a nice southerly up the Strait to Tribune Bay.

Today it started to blow out of the southeast. We had a little tense times because Steven wanted to go, but Roma and the kids had planned to go into town, do laundry, provisioning, etc. We decided to take the weather and we took off.

We had a great 5 hour run before the wind died and we started motoring. We were running wing on wing with the jib poled out in 15 knots of wind, almost from directly behind us. When the wind died 4 hours later, we tuned the radio to listen to the weather forecast.

Forecast called for increasing northwesterlies, so we decided to bail out again and duck into an anchorage until we hit more favorable conditions. That's where we are now: waiting in Tribune Bay for the southerlies to kick in so that we can get further up the Strait.
