Puesta Del Sol

Eric made a directional wi-fi antenna out of a coffee can, so we all get wireless access on our boats, which is really nice.

After being here a few days, it is comfortable. Eric made a directional wi-fi antenna out of a coffee can, so we all get wireless access on our boats, which is really nice. There is cable TV, but we aren't going to hook it up. The kids spend a lot of time over on Sula because of the air-conditioning. The marina staff are all very nice and many of them speak some English.

The mooring balls here are not really used. The marina management feels that they need to have on-the-water security if there are boats on the balls, so it is highly discouraged. The docks are reasonably priced ($0.50/foot/night) and electricity is really reasonable: flat rate $1.50/day.

Roma took the 1 hour ride into town today on the shuttle. She said the town was very like Usulutan.

The provisioning here is good. I'm not sure how long we are going to stay here. We would probably stay longer but Sula needs to get on down the coast. Eric's Mom is coming into northern Costa Rica sometime near the beginning of July, and Sula has the boat to catch home at the end of July from Costa Rica. We haven't made a conscious decision to keep up with them, but I would be surprised if we didn't!
