Fuel Run and Night Snorkel

Quite a day! We did a fuel run today. Jeremy, Dan, and I borrowed Paul's truck and went into the gas station for gas and diesel. When we came back, we each had 4 jerry jugs, and we wanted to drive onto the beach to lessen the distance we had to lug the jugs. But there was a guy at the gate who said we couldn't, and even worse, said we weren't allowed to take fuel across the beach!

To make a long story short, we ended up going back to the restaurant (which is right next door to the "official's" residence) and lugging the jugs to the dinghies. Paul got yelled at by the park guy and we scooted out as quick as we could!

Later we went into Paul's restaurant for a little social gathering, and we decided to do a night dive to look for lobster. Jeremy, Phil, and I went out free diving for lobster. We tried a few places, but had zero lobster sigtings. We saw a few interesting things: Jeremy caught the largest hermit crab we've ever seen. Lots of fish and these strange sea-star things that are light sensitive. Also the needlefish were really cool as we went by in the dinghy.

It's midnight now. I've just gotten back from snorkeling and cleaned up. I had a pop-tart and now need to go to sleep...
