Barillas to Puesta Del Sol
We didn't get boxed in by them until the early
morning hours, but the one I went through didn't have any lightning - we just
got wet.
...It is comfortable here,
much like Barillas, although my first impression is that Barillas offers a
little more like an on-site tienda.
We left Barillas early yesterday morning (0600)
for Puesta Del Sol. We decided to go straight through - it is 70 miles from
Barillas to Puesta Del
Sol.
We
had an excellent sail even though it was mostly upwind. The wind was light and
the seas were calm. Starting just before sunset, we had many thunderstorms to
dodge. We didn't get boxed in by them until the early morning hours, but the one
I went through didn't have any lightning - we just got
wet.We arrived outside Puesta Del Sol
much earlier than we thought we would: 0200. We hove-to for 4 hours until the
sun came up, and then headed in.We
hooked up with Sula and many of the other 25 boats in the little marina. It is
comfortable here, much like Barillas, although my first impression is that
Barillas offers a little more like an on-site
tienda.
