Usulutan
A shot of the local market in Usulutan, the closest town to Barillas.
Crabs for sale at the market. These are collected in the mangroves along the water. Colorful, aren't they?
Another shot of the market. El Salvador is substantially different from Mexico.
A shot of the Sula truck! We had to get this for our friends on Sula!
A truck with a bunch of bananas. These guys saw me taking the picture and...
posed for another shot. I showed them the result and we all got a good laugh!
On the bus heading to San Salvador. We stopped on this side-street in Usulutan for maybe 20 minutes. Not sure why. The lady is making Pupusas, which are kind of like cheese and pork stuffed tortillas.
A close up of the pupusas.
Another shop down the street. Just a second before the picture was taken, the lady in the brown shirt had the red basket (now in her hands) up on her head.
A typical El Salvador wiring job. It's amazing the phones and internet connections work at all! This town is a fire marshall's nightmare.
