Ipala

DSC02948.JPG
The little village of Ipala.
DSC02949.JPG
Another shot of Ipala. That's the whole town.

DSC02951.JPG
Kids from Ipala boogie board out to the anchored boats to ask for pencils and other school supplies.
DSC02952.JPG
Unhooking a puffer-fish the boys caught in Ipala.
DSC02954.JPG
The puffer released. The kids kept catching these, so we had to put a ban on fishing here.
DSC02957.JPG
Gage reading! He just suddenly started reading as if he likes it.
DSC02958.JPG
Anchoring a little too close... the guy on the right decided to move a little further away after a few minutes.
DSC02959.JPG
Eric and Kelsey making their way over to Trinity after coming into Ipala.
DSC02960.JPG
Tubing over. It's a rough life, but somebody's got to do it.
DSC02961.JPG
A local panga fisherman (and restaurant owner) came by our boat the second day we were in Ipala to invite us into shore and his restaurant. He gave us a couple of coconuts and oysters for free.
DSC02962.JPG
Cutting up the coconuts so that we can drink the juice. Yummy!
DSC02963.JPG
Playing soccer with the local kids on the beach in Ipala. Our kids got tired early, but Steven ended up playing for a couple of hours.
DSC02964.JPG
More soccer.

DSC02967.JPG
A few signs for a very small town.
DSC02970.JPG
Roma hiked up the hill with Melissa and snapped this shot of us playing.

A shot of the anchorage from up top.

This dog wouldn't leave Melissa alone.

Trinity behind a rock and some sea birds.
DSC02977.JPG
More soccer! The little boy kinda adopted Steven. He was a tough little guy. At one point, he hauled off and struck me in the nuts (because I could keep the soccer ball away from him). Francisco was his name.
DSC02978.JPG
Eric playing tag with a couple of local guys.
DSC02979.JPG
The Sula and Trinity Jr. crew.
DSC02980.JPG
This little guy was a bit too small for the soccer game. All the kids like having their picture taken and then seeing their image on the digital camera.
DSC02981.JPG
Whiskey! They say whiskey instead of cheese for taking a picture.
DSC02982.JPG
Francisco.
DSC02983.JPG
Eric and Francisco. Eric's hairy belly was fun!
DSC02984.JPG
Mi amigos.
DSC02985.JPG
Gage about to give up his precious soccer ball. We decided to leave the soccer ball ashore for these kids, and Gage had a tough time doing it, even though we had never used the ball before. Those are tears in his eyes.
DSC02986.JPG
The lucky recipient with Gage. This little boy, Alesandro, was very good with the ball, and was really happy to have this ball given to him!
DSC02987.JPG
This first (free) tequila shot was Steven's first ever!
DSC02988.JPG
Follow with the lime...
DSC02989.JPG
Arm wrestling Francisco.
DSC02990.JPG
Another shot of Sula and Trinity out at anchor.

Leif and Francisco arm wrestling.

Sunrise leaving Ipala for Chamela.
DSC02995.JPG
Roma being artsy with the sunrise.
DSC02997.JPG
An actually cool shot.
DSC02999.JPG
The little dorado we caught. This one had to go back, too small...
DSC03002.JPG
About to release the dorado.
