Hot Springs Cove

DSC01715.JPG
Hot Springs Cove! This water is from an underground thermal spring. It was probably about 120f.
DSC01716.JPG
It was a little too hot for Leif's taste, but Steve and I loved it.

There are about 5 little pools in this stream where you can sit and soak. This is Steve's favorite one.

The steam made this a little blury, but the kids finally get in.

This spot wasn't quite so hot.

The boys got a free bath for three nights in a row. It finally washed out some of the dirt in their toes that hadn't come out for weeks.

Ahhhh!

This is the boardwalk that was built as a trail to the hotsprings. It is about 2km long.

This is a view from the trail.

I got a little carried away with the boardwalk shots - sorry, but I think it was really cool.

It just went on....

We thought this tree branch looked like a leopard leaping out of the tree.

Visiting boats can bring woodcarving tools and carve their boat names into the boardwalk.
DSC01745.JPG
These were quite professionally done.

I like the dolphin picture on this one.

Leif enjoying spaghetti - all over his face.

Roma cooking - yes I am wearing a tank top. We had a couple of days warm enough for that.
